A saga of house-hunting has ended as famous rock star and actress, Courtney Love, has finally taken a significant step towards her dream of owning a house in New York. She has leased a four bedroom townhouse in West Village that belongs to the equally famous Milla Jovovich, an actress and model of some stature. Courtney, who was spotted several times in Manhattan recently on one or another of her house hunting adventures, is apparently delighted with her acquisition, and convinced her fans through Twitter that she was going to buy  the famous property valued at … She tweets, “It’s astonishing this townhouse, I’ll expand eventually but its perfect for me now… Just gives you chills. Milla I love you, thank you so much for leasing me the house which I know I’m going to buy.”

For those not in sync with the music, acting and modeling world, Courtney Love and Milla Jovovich are two of the most recognizable names in the glamour industry. While Milla Jovovich used her modeling background as a launchpad to step into an acting career, Courtney Love juggles careers in acting and Rock music. She is the front-woman of the famous band Hole, and has done some significant roles in Movies as well, including Basquiat (1996) and The People vs. Larry Flint (1996), where she famously portrayed Althea Flynt. Jovovich, on the other hand, is the leading lady in the famous Resident Evil series, and was one of the main protagonist in Luc Besson’s The Fifth Element.

For the past year, Courtney Love was living in the luxurious Mercer Hotel in SoHo, and was famously denied by one illustrious property owner after another, as she tried in vain to find the perfect place for herself in Greenwich Village. During this time, she was also diverted by a lawsuit that involved her and Dawn Simorangkir, a fashion designer. However, the story seems to have ended on a good note for her, with a house that promises to spell a new beginning.

Over the years, both these stars have stayed in the news as much for their artistic achievements as for the controversy they have generated (Love more so), and they both achieved immense stardom in the 90s. Now they finally share something more tangible in common: the good fortune of having stayed in the same lovely Greenwich Village townhouse.
