Couture Fashion Week has been around since 2003, and this year, it’s going to be held on February 9, 10, and 11 at the famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel. Couture fashion Week can be best defined as a series of high profile and luxury runway fashion show featuring some of the biggest names in the fashion industry. It is held twice a year and it is a much looked forward to event among upscale fashion buyers, fashion consumers, and well known socialites. New York will have something exciting and glamorous to talk about in the next few days.

While the main venue of the Couture Fashion Week 2010 is the Waldorf-Astoria, some of the fashion shows are going to be reprised and re-presented in Palm Beach, Florida, in addition to some new shows.

Even though Couture Fashion Week is less than a decade old, it has become one of the most talked about fashion events in New York. It’s carved a niche for itself in the area of luxury lifestyle and it has become a major marketing platform for wearable couture. Created by Andres Aquino, Couture Fashion Week is part of USA International Fashion Shows. It brings together both national as well as international designers and grabs the attention of prestigious international press and affluent fashionistas, upscale boutique buyers.

Andres Aquino, the producer of the event has guaranteed “exciting new developments” for this month’s Couture Fashion Week. Present among the designers participating in this fashion week is Haya Al Houti, a renowned couture designer of Kuwait who’s showcasing her designs for the first time in the Big Apple. Joining her are Croatian designer Gordana Radic who debuted in USA last September and the winner of  2005′s “International Fashion Designer of the Year” award, Lebanese designer Jamil Khansa. Other designers to be associated with Couture Fashion Week are Amal Sarieddine, Catalin Botezatu, Cristina Nitopi, Jorge Diep, Joy Washington, Nedret Taciroglu, Walid Atallah, and Sushma Patel.
