Pretty much everybody knows the name David Tutera – the famous party planner who organized luxury parties for the who’s who of the New York’s elite. Rolling Stones, Elton John and Barbara Walters are just some of the names for whom he’s organized glitzy and glamorous events, weddings and parties. Apart from that, he has also written four books on planning parties; and some of the titles are ‘The Big White Book of Weddings’ and the ‘Party Planner’.
Modern Bride has called him the “Top Trendsetter of The Year” and Life and Style Magazine refers to him as the “Best Celebrity Wedding Planner”. He also has a wedding gown line, “David Tutera by Faviana” and high end floral and gift boutiques, ‘Stem’. Finally, the star on his crown is the television show he hosts on WE TV called ‘My Fair Wedding’.
So, when a person of such artistic and creative talents lists his newly renovated house on East 21st Street, you can be quite sure that it will be grand and stunning. David Tutera has taken pains to have this four bedroom loft renovated in an extravagant style. And extravagant means EXTRAVAGANT! The retinue of decorators who were put to work on this house were carefully chosen and worked under the hawk eye inspection of Tutera. The end result is a startlingly vivid display of colors.
The kitchen has been done up in red lacquered walls and has marble countertops, a red Murano chandelier, and brand new appliances. The living room-cum-dining room is enormous and comes with tri-color ceiling and gold leafed stone fireplace, not to mention baseboards and trims in gloss mahogany and gold leaf accent. Additional lighting has been provided throughout the apartment and there are sound systems in every room. However, the most colorful room in the whole condo has to be the master bedroom done up in tones of purple and lavender, which includes a ceiling that features glittery mosaic and silver.
If you are fond of more neutral colors this is definitely not the place for you. However, if you like the feel of living in a rainbow, David Tutera’s is the condo for you.
