The cast of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” skipped a day at the beach and got up before noon for a chance to ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange today. The second season of the show will make its premiere Thursday. “Snooki” gave a thumbs up to stock brokers before ringing the bell and waving to the crowd. Fellow cast members Paul DelVecchio and Vinny Guadagnino pumped their fists in the air, and the rest of the group applauded.
For the first time ever the NYSE ran actually ran out of guest passes for the opening bell ringing, all so that friends and family of NYSE regulars could join the party with the eight cast members of Jersey Shore.
Some members of the financial media and the Wall Street community were not thrilled with the “Jersey Shore,Tan Tuesday and the Snokification of the floor of NYSE but lets face it with the rather dull performance of US markets since 2000 ,you cant fall off the floor and that my friends is the real situation.
