So what is “Sex on a Plate?” It’s that moment when the food overcomes you, taking your senses to new heights as you prepare for the next bite. When your mind is consumed by flavors, textures and colors and the world disappears for a minute.

Co-conspirers Jennifer Iannolo, co-founder of the Culinary Media Network and Chef Daniel Wolinsky at the Roger Smith Hotel design just that kind of moment for you. A whole series of them, in fact. This Valentine’s Day, the Roger Smith Hotel hosts a very special evening, whether by yourself, as a couple, or with friends.

This very special cocktail and tasting party comprises passed hors d’oeuvres and a 5-course tasting of small plates that will push your palate to the limit with sultry flavors, citrusy surprises, spicy crunch and heavenly honeyed nuances. We’ll spend the evening exploring the sensual pleasures of these flavors along with wine and signature cocktails, each element designed to envelop your senses. While much of the evening will bring you mouth-to-mouth with the unexpected, here’s some of what you can look forward to:

6:30 – 7:00 PM Passed hors d’oeuvres and signature cocktails
7:00 – 10:00 PM Small plates and open bar

Throughout the evening, special guest Yolanda Shoshana, the Luscious Lifestyle Diva, will be sharing some of her delicious expertise. I’ll also be available with some special guests to share more about the connection between food and sensuality.

  1. Hi Guys!

Thanks so much for mentioning my event. Just wanted to clarify, as there’s some confusion here. Sex on a Plate: The Event is a series I’m doing around the US based on my work on food & sensuality, which was kicked off with the phrase “sex on a plate” in 2004. I turned it into a Twitter hash tag (#sexonaplate), and these events came from that.

The photo you have above refers to a cookbook that was put out last year by a different author.

The event information can be seen at http://www.sexonaplate.com.

    Thanks again!
    Jennifer
