Who doesn’t love the glorious days of the 80s and the 90s that people perpetually seem to refer to as “those good old’ days.” Well, if you’ve been feeling nostalgic off late and wanted to step back into time to enjoy the melodies of the eighties and nineties, your wish is about to come true. Gather at the Croton Reservoir Tavern on Saturday, March 13th for the “I Love the ’80s and ’90s” party. Be there before 9 pm and be prepared to swing to popular beats of these two decades until 3 am.

The very famous DLJ is going to keep you on your toes with all the favorite tunes of the 80s and 90s that’s going to take you on a very pleasant trip down memory lanes. We can imagine the music inspiring a lot of conversation with people saying something like “Oh, that used to be my favorite song in the 5th grade,” or “my husband played that song for me on our first date.”

In addition to the recreation of the magic of the 80s and 90s you are also going to be entertained by the one of the best live acts in town! The very well known and extremely sensational Steve Marshall Band will enthrall the audience by playing a special covers set for the evening.

Now that you’ve been assured good music, let’s look at the other details of the party. Along with the 80s music, you will also get the ’80s-priced specials where you pay $2 for beers and $5 for drinks until 11 PM. That’s not all – the first hundred lucky guests will get a free shot. All the more reason for you to reach early!

One can’t think of a better setting for a party of this kind than the Croton Reservoir Tavern (CRT). This American restaurant and bar has a very distinct turn of the century feel and when you step into CRT you are reminded of the times when the streets were made of cobblestone and carriages were driven by horses. This ‘tavern’ was opened in 1842 and used to be located on the site of the present day New York Public Library and Bryant Park. If you are sober enough you will notice the 150 square foot, hand painted mural that recreates the 180-million-gallon aqueous repository that was the city’s main source of water. The décor is stately, the staff is courteous and knowledgeable, the food excellent, and their drinks – wonderful!

When you have one of the leading social networking companies in the New York City area planning such an event, you know you’ve got yourself a ticket to non-stop fun. David Shapiro has over ten years of experience in throwing parties and planning vacations for upscale young Manhattan professionals,” and their events are targeted towards partygoers in their 20s and 30s.
