Lady Gaga returned last week to her hometown New York City for a concert at Madison Square Garden and I was there . I have long liked her tunes and her attitude but I have always been a bit skeptical of her over produced ,over polished persona. Contrived or is she for real and that my little monsters was the answer I was seeking .
I have crossed paths with Ga Ga on the prowl in the lower east and I have seen her at close quarters at the DJ Expo in AC some years back. But a huge venue like Madison Square Garden where the energy is over flowing and no seat is a good seat yet every seat is a great seat is something else entirely.
So yes the stage show was remarkable ,her outfits thrilling , with some even over the top but the music was awesome, the dance numbers tight and what is most often forgot with all the antics and all the pretense is that wow that girl can sing! Lady Ga Ga simply riped it .It was remarkable coupled with her strong positive message of be who you are and not let insecurity or anyone keep you down ,whipped the mesmerized crowd in to a cheering frenzy answering the question once and for all that Lady Ga Ga is the real thing.
