The Brooklyn Heights Association (BHA) is turning 100 and celebrating with a year long series of events ! To commemorate the centennial the BHA is sponsoring an exhibition called Brooklyn in Prints: A Special Gathering. This exhibition, curated by The Old Print Shop, is a fantastic way to view the history of your favorite borough’s past and present through a unique exhibition of rare and unusual images.

A reception and gallery talk will be held on Friday, February 26, 6:30 – 8:30 PM at The Brooklyn Historical Society located at 128 Pierrepont Street Brooklyn, New York 11201, accessible by the 2/3/4/5/M/R Borough Hall Station. RSVP is required, please call 718.222.4111 or email: vservice@brooklynhistory.org.

The BHA is the organized voice of the Heights. The BHA plants the trees, protects the views, works to preserve the brownstones and safeguard the streets. They organize the community’s response when there is a threat. Whether you rent a studio or own a brownstone, the BHA is there to work to protect your stake in the neighborhood. The BHA reminds residents that membership in the BHA is so important. The more members equal more oppertunities and more clout when the BHA works with City and State agencies about issues that concern the neighborhood. The BHA reminds you that your support helps make our voice your voice heard.

Brooklyn in Prints: A Special Gathering continues through March 14, 2010.
