New Yorkers are anxiously awaiting the weather to turn each Spring. Although Manhattan is a bustling city with a lot going on, I love the switch that seems to happen when the sun is shining and the thermometer hits above 60 degrees. It’s so awesome! Cafes arrange their outside seating, tourists and locals alike gather in Herald Square and along Broadway and flip flops are everywhere. I am sure lunch and dinner sales increase by at least 30%. It’s as though the whole city is in a REALLY good mood and they are looking to share the time with others. It’s days like this that I can wander the city, street to street, checking out some new businesses or better yet, some old ones and just take it in. I love seeing all the characters that inhabit this place. Since I have been working in fashion for over fifteen years, I have to say the first thing I typically notice is what they are wearing. It’s never a dull moment here, but it is always more fun when the weather has just started to change because you can really see and feel the enthusiasm in their wardrobe pics. I would love to post a few pics of my findings but that could be construed as mean so I will leave it to your imagination.
