In the late 1960′s Soho had a rebirth, New York’s artists sought a refuge and space from the routine of uptown. In the sprawling SoHo loft spaces , artists as diverse as Chuck Close, Frank Stella, and Richard Serra started vital bohemian art movement and the neighborhood subsequently revived . Soho became a magnet for the cool ,hip and sophisticated ,with art and shopping mixed together like and open air mall. Buyers, trendsetters, and intellectuals again flocked to the once-forgotten neighborhood. And where artists go, fashion soon follows.
