“Rolling Chairs” are back at Coney Island
Too many they are called, “rolling chairs” a longtime favorite in Atlantic City, and to some an American version of Asia’s rickshaws.The rolling chairs are also a long time tradition in Coney Island, where they steered tourists from 1923 until the mid-1960s. Now they are making a comeback on the boardwalk and Coney Island is set to roll out new rolling chairs for the first time in nearly 50 years.
