The one and only Elaine’s will close at the end of the month .New York is losing one of its old school nightlife landmarks. At nearly six months after the death restaurateur Elaine Kaufman, her eponymously named Upper East Side restaurant will close its doors forever on May 26, the eatery’s manager announced today.
