Mayor Michael Bloomberg today agreed with a judge who decided to throw out a summons issued to a Bronx man wearing low-slung pants that exposed his underwear. It seems the city has finally drawn the line , and the Mayor pronounced there will be no style police in this City.
Mayor Mike while he admitted the style wasn’t to his taste said Thursday that the government has no business telling people what they can wear.
It all started on n April 20, a real New York police officer actually ticketed Julio Martinez for wearing his pants low. Judge Ruben Franco threw it out last month, saying it appeared to be an attempt by one police officer to show his displeasure with the style. The judge said people can wear what they want as long as they do not offend public order and decency.
Like many New Yorkers I for one would like the chance to tell a few people what they should wear ,can wear and shouldn’t wear but I simply put on a smile and refrain.
