The Dylan Hotel is considered to be among the best luxury hotels in New York. It is located in Midtown Manhattan within walking distance of some of the major landmarks and attractions of the city. At a stone’s throw from the hotel are the Times Square, Grand Central Station, Broadway, Central Park, and dining and shopping destinations of the Fifth Avenue.
The Dylan Hotel is housed in a 1903 Beaux Arts building. The interiors have been designed by Jeffrey Beers. He has redefined opulence by departing from the obviously hip designs that can be seen in many of the hotels in New York.
The main lobby has been designed using rich jewel tones like opal, amber, jade and amethyst. The fabrics are luxurious and Beers has used organic materials such as Carrara marble and American walnut. Reflective surfaces such as frosted titanium mirrors impart grandeur to the look of the hotel while custom seating clusters in the lobby invoke intimacy and relaxation.
In sharp contrast to the public spaces of this hotel, the guestrooms and corridors have been designed using a more muted palette. All the 107 guestrooms have 11-foot ceilings, making them feel airy and spacious. The understated style of the rooms along with soft lighting, the warm white and pale blue colors on the wall, the deep amethyst and steel-blue carpeting, sheer drapes, and ebony-stained furniture make you feel warm and welcome.
The rooms also have wall-mounted upholstered headboard, and cantilevered nightstands on either side. The bathrooms feature Italian-porcelain bowl-style sinks mounted on multicolor granite slabs. Room benefits include individual climate control, coffee maker, and WiFi. There’s also a Penthouse Suite on the 12th floor, which includes an outdoor terrace.
Dining option is provided by the on-site restaurant Benjamin Steakhouse. This restaurant was opened by Peter Luger of Arturo McLeod fame. This is the place for all the die-hard steak connoisseurs. It offers the finest prime USDA meat selected personally by the chef and dry aged to perfection.
You can order room service, but we would prefer you enjoy a meal at this beautiful restaurant that has a ten foot working fireplace and a high coffered ceiling. The restaurant has been decorated with rich chocolate brown leather seating, vaulted decorative ceiling, oak wood paneling, and modern brass amber toned chandeliers.
The Dylan Hotel attempts to offer every possible service that can make your stay comfortable, including valet parking, a business centre, two meeting rooms, knowledgeable concierge services, and a fitness suite.
