Standup for the holidays .Tired of the typical office party secret Santa ? Ever wondered what Asylum’s holiday party is like? After the first drink, it’s only moments before any innocent references like “yule log” and “secret Santa” become awkward euphemisms and blur.
This Wednesday, Dec. 16, head to The Delancey for a fun filled and provocative evening of stand-up and stories featuring Comedy Central veterans Dan Allen, Tom Shillue, Ophira Eisenberg, Adam Wade and Costaki Economopoulous. Plus, Asylum’s own Nick Nadel will be screening sweet holiday TV moments like Bea Arthur on the Star Wars X-mas Special.
They won’t guarantee mistletoe magic for all, but the first 100 people to arrive at the shindig receive a free drink. Which you holiday party veterans know all too well, that one usually leads to another.
Asylum’s Not-So-Silent Night of Comedy: Wednesday, Dec. 16, 6:30 p.m. at The Delancey (between Clinton and Attorney), 212-254-9920.
