Brooklyn Collective’s spring opening is tonight March 26th

Come mingle and celebrate Brooklyn Collective’s spring opening event at their cooperative boutique this evening. Presented by Brooklyn Collective and Gernal Nightmare antiques, the event celebrates over 15 new collections. The artisan gallery will feature photography, paintings, sculptures, jewelry and clothing from local artists and designers. Complimentary cocktails will be served throughout the night plus there will be a live performance by Sord.

Located in the up-and-coming neighborhood of Red Hook, Brooklyn Collective lives on the waterfront on Columbia Street. In this artsy neighborhood six years ago, jewelry designer Rachel Goldberg and fashion designer Tessa Philips grew frustrated by shops whose only concerned was selling profitable and marketable pieces. The creative friends had the novel idea to develop a unique boutique where communal space would be shared and selling one-of-a-kind pieces would be the norm. Collaborating with other emerging artists to share an affordable storefront, designers and artists split rent and utilities, share the showroom floor, and reap 100% of the profits. Every three months, rotating photographers, designers, craftsman, and artists, lease space to showcase their work and collections. Tonight celebrates the 5th anniversary of Brooklyn Collective and the new collections. Inspiring and creative pieces will be on displayed at this social art and fashion outpost.

The event goes from 7p-midnight. Hope to see you there!
