“How NOT to Act” by Danny McDermott’s is a one man show about 8 characters in an acting class. It’s a hilarious insider view of how industry people make money on the side. All the characters came from all different people Danny McDermott has met in the entertainment business. The main character is an old British acting teacher who never made it herself and she’s teaching a class of 7 people. McDermott then pits the 7 characters all from different backgrounds trying to break into acting . There is a business guy, a homeless guy, a rapper, a comedian, a reality show wanna be, a karaoke singer, and a stand up comedian. None of them are actually actors which drives the teacher insane by the end of the show.
A dramatic actor since 1987 ,Danny McDermott is “out there”. You never know where his insane life experiences will take you. From being mugged my little people to being stabbed by a supermodel, one thing Danny’s life is not, is conventional.
This show will be performed in a small black box theater, so there are only 30 seats and they will go fast.
