Fashion Show & Organic Cocktail Party April 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Aicon Gallery. $50 general admission includes an open bar featuring organic Acai-tinis, beer, and wine, a fashion show featuring four emerging sustainable designers, and an eco-friendly gift bag filled with beauty products and other goodies. $75 VIP admission includes access to a pop up shop featuring the runway designers’ creations and a private bar.
The fashion show will start at 8. Designers include: Swati Argade, Helen Asir, Marcus Hicks, and Rachel Lyra Hospodar.There will also be a silent auction featuring fabulous prizes like a Max Mara bag, three nights at a Mexican resort, a Chelsea Piers golf package, professional teeth whitening, hair cut and coloring, personal shopping + closet organizing, and more!
Proceeds from the event will benefit the post-production of “First Sight,” a documentary about the Sankara Eye Foundation in India. There are more than 45 million people living with some form of curable blindness in southeast Asia, and to date the Sankara Eye Foundation has performed more than 550,000 free eye surgeries. They hope to reach 1 million beneficiaries by 2020, and “First Sight” will help raise international awareness to their goal.
