Summer Solstice Celebration Sunday June 20 11am–4pm. American Museum of Natural History, Central Park West at 79th St (212-769-5100). Museum of Natural History Free with suggested admission: $16, children 2 to 12 $9, under 2 free. Go green and travel a road less traveled. A whole new meaning to “fun in the sun.” Race in a solar car, try your hand at sun- print-making, use UV light to create glowing beads and create clay models of this hot star. All ages.
Father’s Day Sing-Along Sunday June 20 at 3pm. Prospect Park, Lefferts Historic House Museum, Flatbush Ave near Empire Blvd, Prospect Park, Brooklyn (718-789-2822 ) Invite your kids to give Dad a sweet token of their affection with a plate of fresh strawberries and freshly made whipped cream. They can also participate in a sing-along with Lloyd Miller of the Deedle Deedle Dees. The show is great for all ages. This one is free.

Today’s sea-lebration of all things fishy features a reading by Susan King, author of Where Should Turtle Be, there will also be live music from Two of a Kind. Great for all ages.
Father’s Day at the Audubon Center Sunday June 20 1–3pm. Prospect Park Audubon Center, enter park at Ocean Ave and Lincoln Rd, Prospect Heights, Brooklyn (718-287-3400). Kids can make a gift for their fathers while showing Mother Nature some love by creating cards from many recycled materials. Afterward, everyone heads out for a discovery tour of the center. Kayaking on the Hudson Sunday June 20 10am–5pm,Riverside Park at 72nd St or Pier 96, Twelfth Ave at 56th St or Pier 40, West St at Houston St.It’s a free family boat trip this Father’s Day. The New York City Downtown Boathouse offers complimentary kayaking every weekend through October at three Hudson River docks. No need to make a reservation; just walk right up and wait in line. Never piloted kayak before no worries the nautical experts provide the equipment and the know how . You just have to sign a liability waiver, and wear a bathing suit, or shorts and T-shirt. Now’s a good time to review your swimming skills. Kids under 16 must be accompanied in the boat by an adult. Ages 2 and up. Yes this one is free.
Harlem Skyscraper Cycling Classic Sun Jun 20 11am–6pm. Marcus Garvey Park, 121st St at Fifth Ave .Whether your tots are super-cyclists, two-wheelin’ first-timers or simply spectators, they’ll find lots to keep them occupied at this extravaganza. The jam-packed day features pro, amateur and kid races, as well as live performances by Yo Gabba Gabba’s DJ Lance Rock and Biz Markie. All kids who compete get a free helmet, and the winner in each category walks away with a brand new bike. Registration begins at 11am. All ages and it’s free.
