Water Taxi Beach Governors Island, has become the city’s premier waterfront spot for great music all summer long. Enjoy the sun, fun, food and spectacular views of lower Manhattan wile parting the night away listen to some of the worlds greatest music.

Throw down your towel and soak up some sun on over 20,000 square feet of sand (300 tons), or join a pick up game of Beach volleyball or basketball. Wherever you sit, you’ll have a front row view of the magnificent lower Manhattan skyline.Experience great music and entertainment at The Beach, New York’s premier live outdoor venue situated a few steps from the sand.Just a short ferry ride from downtown Manhattan, Water Taxi Beach Governors island is also available for private parties, weddings and corporate events.
Water Taxi Beach Governors Island is only accessible by ferry from Brooklyn or Manhattan on the Governors Island Ferry departing from the Battery Maritime Building during hours when Governors Island is open. The fare on the Governors Island Ferry is free or included in our ticket for the event how ever if the event is free there is a $5.00 charge.Late night when the Island is closed the New York Water Taxi takes you back to Pier 11 at Wall Street.
