According to Founder David Barton “Sweat and alcohol are both great social lubricants”. Having launched many innovations over the years , most notable working out in boots and street clothes .David Barton Gym’s new revolution may seem to be somewhat contradictory, inevitable, or perhaps even mandatory when the began hosting cocktail parties at its locations in Chicago, Miami and New York .
The start of hosting cocktail hours after its intense boot camp training classes signal in a new era for the gym chain . David Barton Gym now mixes booze with fitness .The mixers are sponsored by the Swedish vodka brand Svedka throughout August and are meant to tie in with the brand’s “RU Bot Or Not?” ad campaign that features a voluptuous female robot.
David’s new moto is ,“It’s better to work out and drink than to not work out and drink,”and he goes on ,“Our members have intense lives, and some people party and that’s all the more need to work out. I’m not pushing alcohol, but I’m not a prohibitionist.”
