Last night the Council of Fashion Designers of America held their 28th annual award show at the Lincoln Center. The big players of the fashion industry rolled up to what could be coined as the Oscars of Fashion.
And the awards go to….
Marc Jacobs won the Womenswear Designer of the Year
Menswear Designer of the year went to Rag and Bone’s Marcus Wainwright and David Neville
Alexis Bittar won Accessory Designer of the Year
The Swarovski Award, which honors emerging talent, went to Jason Wu in the women’s wear category; Richard Chai in men’s wear and Alexander Wang for accessory design.
Ralph Lauren won the L’Oréal Popular Vote Award
Michael Kors received the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award
Burberry’s Christopher Bailey recieved the International Award
Vogue’s Tonne Goodman was given the Eleanor Lambert Award
Iman received the Fashion Icon Award
Paper magazine’s Kim Hastreiter took the Eugenia Sheppard Award
The Board of Director’s Special Tribute was awarded to Alexander McQueen.
