An East Village mainstay that has been around since punk rock first reared its alienated, rebellious head. One of the very pillars of the what was to become the “East Village ” scene. St. Marks Place was rock music’s gritty main drag and Trash & Vaudeville the two-floor costume emporium that outfitted icons like Debbie Harry and the Ramones for their gigs at CBGB’s was the place to go. Trash and Vaudeville is actually two stores, one on top of the other, located at 4 St. Mark’s Place in Manhattan, New York. It is still closely associated with the clothing styles of punk rock and various other counter culture movements.
