Ok so your still not sure if the groundhog got this weather thing right . There’s only one real way to break out of the winter blues , according to the City Reliquary Museum and Civic Organization it’s with cocktail and conversation! Nothing else warms the mind and blood like Boozin’ and Schmoozin’ with the City Reliquary!
This Friday February 25th, at the Brooklyn Kitchen enjoy an evening of awesome alcohols and delectable edibles. Featuring FIVE yes count ‘em, FIVE! cocktail tables, one beer table and one wine table. Cocktails include: The Ginger Lee No. 2, a dark rum daquiri from The Richardson, expertly mixed by Joel Lee Kulp who will explain how to make it at home. Sother Teague of Rye will concoct the Jack Rose, an Applejack Sidecar and talk about its pleasures and properties. Tim Sultan of Sunny’s Bar in Red Hook has invented and will present the Irish Manhattan (whiskey!). Nicole Austin of Kings County Distilling will pour shots of their un-aged whiskey and talk about what makes their booze so booze-a-riffic! And Breuckelen Distilling will have their marvelous Gin for sipping, straight up, on the rocks or as a G&T.For Beer we’ve got Brooklyn Brewery and their Local 1 & 2 as well as Sorachi Ace.
For the food it’st tasty treats from The Meat Hook, Saltie, The Commodore, Roebling Tea Room, Momofuku Bakery, coffee from Oslo and more! DJ Sister Kate will be spinning vintage jazz and rhythm and blues and amazing Goodie bags will be given to all guests.
$100 Happier Hour tickets at the door enable patrons to enjoy an extra hour, from 7-8, of small talk and nice pours; $75 for Happy Hour tickets from 8-11pm. Goody Bags will be provided to all. All proceeds will benefit the City Reliquary Museum and Civic Organization, a non-profit museum in Williamsburgh, Brooklyn.
