The infamous “cat Lady ” bandit Shanna Spalding didn’t commit the purrrrr-fect crime after all. Cops say the women behind a string of “Cat Woman” stickups was arraigned in a Manhattan courtroom last night on two counts of robbery. Prosecutors said she confessed to both incidents, and police sources also claimed that she has also spilled the beans on two additional heists, in Queens Prosecutors have charged Spalding whose famed cat-masked police sketch has become an Internet sensation with robbing two Manhattan boutiques, including one on Wednesday afternoon in SoHo,
Spalding, 28, told police yesterday that she had been “drunk” during the April 23 robbery of a Nine West shoe store in Forest Hills, Queens, and that the cat mask she wore was from a costume party the previous night. Spalding also told cops that a mysterious unnamed man was “forcing” her to commit the crimes, but authorities were skeptical of these claims.She is currently being held in lieu of $75,000 bond or $25,000 cash bail.
