Christie Brinkley lists Sag Harbor home in Hamptons for $15.75M

The Wall Street Journal’s Metropolis blog reported Tuesday that Christie Brinkley, former super model , Hamptons socialite turned real estate investor, has put a 19th-century five-bedroom waterfront home near Sag Harbor on the market for $15.75 million.The house, dating back to 1843 is fronted with massive white columns and is located on a 4.5 acre lot with 327 feet of beachfront near the southern tip of North Haven, which is only a short walk from Sag Harbor.

According to sources the property is part of a significant collection of Hamptons real estate that Brinkley has amassed over the years, a collection that has remained intact through her bitter and very public divorce two years ago from Hamptons architect Peter Cook, her fourth husband. Property records show that in 2004 she paid $7.15 million for the house using a trust, known as The Sunset trust, and also bought a second house which she still owns directly across the street in North Haven in 2007 under the name Sunset Trust #2, for $9.99 million.

Brinkley, who is 56, with more than 500 magazine covers to her credit, her own line of jewelry and eyeglasses and is a presence at many charity events and causes in New York and the Hamptons.Brinkley was also married to pop singer Billy Joel and has a daughter with Joel who is also a singer.
