If you have loads of money and you are on the lookout for a creative genius to give the interiors of your home a “daring, elegant, and luxurious” look, the one name that will pop into your head is Bradfield Geoffrey. Most of his clients are the wealthy and well known and the prestigious projects executed by him include the re-hauling of the Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney estate in Old Westbury, the designing of Hollywood director Oliver Stone’s New York residence, and the restoration of the late King Hussein’s mansion in Maryland.

Bradfield’s work has earned him the much coveted recognition by the Architectural Digest magazine as one of the top designers in the world not just once or twice but five times. He’s also been honored with the title of the “Dean of American Design.” Furthermore, he’s also found his way into the Ultimate List of America’s Elite 1000.

When a person of Bradfield’s status lists a house it grabs attention immediately, especially if it is in the upscale neighborhood of Park Avenue. This one bedroom and 1.5 bathroom apartment on the eighth floor has been listed for an asking price of $1,100,000. Considering his popularity and the added factor that whoever buys a house gets a place that is designed by an interior designer of international eminence this property will not stay on the market for too long.

The apartment has been done up in a typical Geoffrey Bradfield manner, with huge mirrors and pastel shades. It oozes urbane sophistication – a style that may not appeal to everybody immediately and needs to be cultivated. Besides, when you are paying so much money for this style, you would be well advised to like it.

This Park Avenue apartment was bought by Bradfield in April of 2006 for $585,000. The building is in the style of Italian Renaissance and offers a host of white glove hotel style services to its residents, including 24/7 doorman and concierge, valet, 5-day per week maid service and fitness center. However, they don’t come for free and you have to shell out more than $2,500 every month for maintenance charges.

Bradfield’s apartment has a pretty standard layout and the front door opens into an entrance gallery. This has been transformed into a dining room. Behind this dining room is a tiny windowless kitchen that’s not more than 5 feet wide. It is fitted with top gourmet appliances and floor to ceiling bookcases.

A unique feature about this 1 bedroom apartment is that Bradfield has found the space to squeeze in about a dozen closets into it, seven of which are in the bedroom. You won’t fall short of storage space here, that’s for sure.
