Stop by for brunch and a taste of the past at Brooklyn’s Old Stone House. Join gastronomist Sarah Lohman flips flapjacks over an open fire, where she will recreate three historic pancake recipes: Pumpkin Cornmeal; Apple and Sour Milk; and Clove and Rosewater. These recipes are sure to tickle the modern palate, the pancakes will be served will all the fixins’ as well as hot drinks. There will be music for the little ones will be provided by Ivan Ulz, so bring the whole family.

Sarah Lohman is known as a researcher and recreater of historic food, creating dishes that look, smell, and taste just like the originals did over a hundred of years ago. She opens a delectable window to the culinary past, letting her lucky tasters understand a little bit about another way of life long gone.
