Gordon Ramsay at the London is located in one of Manhattan’s hottest hotels, the London. The popular television personality opened this restaurant in 2007 as his first American and signature New York restaurant. It’s white and beige interior is ” icily elegant” and the restaurant is surprisingly small but in a positive intimate way. The service was outstanding with most of the servers speaking in a slight French accent adding to the European flavor of the evening. I would recommend the “menu prestige” a seven course tasting meal if this is your one chance to visit this restaurant. Otherwise, the a la carte menu offers you a variety of Chef Ramsay’s signature dishes. The food was very good, albeit in small portions, but not outstanding; however, I would suggest taking advantage of the outstanding wine menu. Dinner for two, depending on the wine, will run you anywhere from $300 to $600. While I enjoyed the meal, decor, service and the evening as a whole, I found the experience to be a bit pricey.
Gordon Ramsay at the London is located at 151 W.54th Street, New York City 10019
