There’s a whole lot of excitement happening this week and for all of you out there who live to eat, glue your eyes to this article and get all the essential information.

On Thursday, August 5, head towards the Brooklyn Kitchen Labs (100 Frost St, between Leonard St and Meeker Ave, 718-349-5032) to participate in the “Jamtastic” workshop. If you’ve guessed from the name that the event has got something to do with “Jams” you are on the right track.

The workshop is being conducted by Kelly Geary, founder of Sweet Deliverance NYC which is famous for transforming “farm-fresh, organic ingredients into deliciously wholesome meals” and delivering them to your home. She is going to share her secret recipe of making jams from fresh Greenmarket produce after which she will take you through the basic canning procedures. The workshop timings are 6:30 to 8:30pm and admission charges are $40. If you miss Thursday’s date with Kelly, you can go back on Tuesday, August 10.

On Sunday, August 8, hitch a ride to the Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market (W 39th St at Ninth Ave) for the Food Truck Fest. As you may well know, Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market has been listed among the Top Ten Shopping Streets in the World by National Geographic. This Sunday, it will organize a food-truck bonanza and welcome a “convoy of mobile eateries” for this event.

It is strongly advised that you reach early since, vendors such as Go Burger and Jersey City’s The Krave (which serves burritos and tacos stuffed with Korean BBQ staples) is going to attract people like flies to honey. The Fest will start at 11am and last until 4pm.

Alias, (76, Clinton Street, 212-505-5011) has invited Marja Samson, the former owner of Kitchen Club to be a part of their weekly guest-chef series. Samson tempts you with an Asian inspired spread and the four course meal includes a Greenmarket-driven bento box and Samsom’s signature style and very popular dumplings. To enjoy this meal, shell out $40 and, needless to say, make your reservations in advance. What time, you are wondering? 7pm onwards on Monday, August 9. Be there for sure

Finally, East Harlem’s iconic Patsy’s Pizzeria (2287–2291 First Ave between 117th and 118th Sts, 212-534-9783) celebrates its 77th anniversary by organizing a throwback special. Coal oven pizzas for 60¢, 12-ounce steaks for 90¢ and sodas for 10¢…just like it was when Patsy’s Pizzeria had just started out to make a name for itself. Visit the place between 11:30am and 6pm on Wednesday, August 11
