From a fictional character to a globally recognized character, Hello Kitty’s journey to fame has been interesting and eventful. The fictional character produced by the Japanese company Sanrio, first came to the United States on a vinyl coin purse in 1976. There have been several products that have featured this cute cat with a bob tail, such as stickers, greeting cards, accessories, school supplies, clothes, dishes, home appliances, and music players.
Even though Hello Kitty is 35 years old now, she continues to rule the hearts of millions of teenage girls. If you are a Hello Kitty fan and you also enjoy bling gadgets, the new and strictly limited music player is a must buy for you. The Hello Kitty Music Player Crystal is the end result of cooperation between Hello Kitty Company Sanrio, iriver Japan, and luxury brand Swarovski Crystal.
Speaking of which, the new Hello Kitty music player that has been unveiled recently in Japan has a special feature you couldn’t miss even if you were blind – the sparkly, bejeweled look it has. What else do you expect, when a music player is crafted with 300 pieces of Swarovski crystals? White, black, yellow, and red Swarovski crystals have been used to create the adorable face of this very popular kitty. I guess this is one electronic appliance that can also double up as a fashion accessory. And we have to say, it does look stylish enough!
The Hello Kitty Crystal Music Player can play both MP3 and WMA format and has a battery life that ensures 10 hours of continuous playback time. It measures 47.2 × 18.0 × 37.5mm and weighs less than 20g. The music player comes with 2GB built-in memory (that can store more than 450 songs) and specially designed Audio Technica earphones. You can enhance its tone quality with the set of 5 EQ presets- Normal, Classical Jazz, Pop and Rock.
The playback frequency of this PMP is 40Hz ~ 20 kHz and the output is 13mW × 2ch and S / N ratio is 90dB. The basic controls buttons are play, stop, fast forward, back and volume and they are located on the back of the player. It has a USB 2.0 interface that supports drag and drop function. For Hello Kitty madcap fans, even the USB cable has illustrations of Hello Kitty printed on the connector section.
In a world that is already flooded with Hello Kitty products, this digital music player has a definite edge over the others. Well, for one, you will never forget the look of this product or confuse it with another music player in the market. Who can forget the effect 300 crystals have on your eyes. Which leads us to the second point – the manufacturers hope that the brilliance of the crystals will blind you momentarily to the price of this tiny music player. Just a nominal $150, that’s it! However, if you have a special friend and you’d love to bring a sparkle to her eyes, you could give this gift a thought. Beats buying diamonds any day, doesn’t it?
