Here’s the second, and final, part of the list devoted to the best denim stores in New York. If you are going jeans shopping any time soon, you simply cannot afford to ignore any of these stores, or, for that matter, the ones mentioned in the previous article. Whether comfort and budget are your primary considerations or style and fashion, you are sure to be tempted by at least some, if not all of these.
The Levi’s Store
It is not for nothing that Levi Strauss Jeans have a loyal fan base spread all over the world. Countless celebrities around the world have enjoyed the comfortable fit and stylish cuts just as much as regular folk. Marlon Brando, Elvis and James Dean sported 501s back in the old days, and that classic is still going strong, flourishing alongside modern creations such as the slim-fit 507 and eco-friendly skinny jeans. They are all available at the various Levi’s outlets spread around the city. Prices start from roughly $70.

Earnest Kut & Sew
Earnest Sewn, with the simplicity and sophisticated look of its jeans, soft feel of the denim and stylish fit, is a brand often flaunted by the celebrities and fashionistas in New York. Its store in Lower East Side offers nearly the line’s entire collection for both sexes. What’s more, the impressive variety is presented in an ambience that recreates the rustic charm of good old American life. Shopping here is expensive (a pair costs $158 upwards), but then you could look at it as an opportunity to treat yourself.

Urban Outfitters
Most Americans would be familiar with the name, but to imagine that this national retail chain is simply a haven for hipsters, is not doing it any justice. Its youthful feel and excellent variety would appeal to anyone looking for something stylish in a budget. With its own label BDG, and other brands like Levi’s, Lux and Free People available, it definitely stocks a lot more than skin-tights.
374 6th Avenue, New York
(212 – 677-9350)
It is worth mentioning that the stores have not been listed in any specific order, neither in the previous article nor in this one. The one, which you find most rewarding, will depend completely on your preferences, not to mention your wallet! All you now need to do is get going on your jeans hunting adventure. With the knowledge of this list, you have no reason to feel intimidated.
